If you've spent much time in Phoenix over the last few years, you've probably heard the phrase 'junk in the trunk' an inordinate amount of times. Or noticed a friend proclaiming their plans to #partylikeajunker over the weekend. While these may sound like an inappropriate derriere reference and questionable social habits, it's actually a far crazier, but totally appropriate phenomenon. This past Saturday was my first Junk In The Trunk experience. Experience being the key word here! Strolling towards WestWorld in our casual lunch attire and sandals, we got a sneaking suspicion we were out of our league. Leggings, running shoes, power walking, fanny packs - these folks meant business. Upon entering we were greeted with an amazing display of white antiqued panels adorned with felt flowers, excited shoppers posing with their finds. Excitement was building, we were ready to see just WHAT all the hype was about. Now I could describe every crazy, gorgeous, funky and what-the-heck-is-that moment, but I'd rather show you! And of course I couldn't make it through the day without finding something. The last two photos are what we've affectionately dubbed 'the black sheep chair'. I was channelling my inner Joanna Gaines and just couldn't resist it's potential!
